Dr. Ankita Roy is the Founder and Principal Consultant at Algomira, where she advises biotech companies, investors, and research organizations on translational strategy, human-relevant preclinical models, and AI-enabled scientific decision-making. Her work helps clients reduce development risk, evaluate emerging technologies, and strengthen confidence in critical R&D decisions.
Dr. Roy brings more than 20 years of experience across academia, biotech, and the pharmaceutical industry. She earned her Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the Max Planck Institute under Nobel Laureate Prof. Hartmut Michel and held scientific leadership roles at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Washington, and Astellas Pharma. She has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and led competitively funded research advancing human-relevant preclinical models and New Approach Methodologies (NAMs). Her work includes contributions to NCATS-funded translational research programs spanning discovery through early development, as well as securing a Washington State–funded innovation grant to advance NAMs research.
